The Agrawal Group basically hales from Surajpur district of Chhattisgarh. In the beginnig they were engaged in road construction work through a partnership firm name Agrawal Construction Company. Then, looking to the better opportunities they decided to shift their business to Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh). The main advantage with Bilaspur was its better connectivity to local markets and supplier. Very soon their decision was proved right and they build new business relations in the city. After settle in Bilaspur they secured big tenders in road construction work. After formation of Chhattisgarh State, the family decided to knock the opportunities available in the steel sector and laid the foundation of Satya Power and Ispat Pvt. Ltd. in 2003 with a single kiln of 30,000 M.T. per year capacity. Now the group has two entirely different business lines to operate and both were doing very well. Very soon in the year 2006 they decided to convert Agrawal Construction Company (a partnership firm) to a Private Limited Company and formed Agrawal Infrabuild Pvt. Ltd. Now, the group with its two businesses was on the highest peaks. In the year 2008, one more kiln was added in Sponge Iron Plant to enhance its production capacity to meet out market demand. Also, in the same year Satya Power was converted into Limited company.
Currently, this group is known not only in the city but in the whole state for its business ethics, fulfillment of social responsibilities and providing better atmosphere to work for the employees of the group.
