To manufacture Mild Steel Billets SPIL purchases M.S. scrap from open market, imported scrap from actual importer and Sponge Iron from the manufacturers. Once reach the plant all these materials are tested for quality. After being satisfied, materials are unloaded in the stock yard. Post unloading, raw materials are sent for melting. M.S. Scrap/Sponge Iron is put in Induction Furnace to a certain temperature and Ferro Alloys are added as required.
Once reached the certain degree of temperature, it is poured into the moulds of required sizes and once billets are ready, the same sent for further inspection. After the completion of thorough physical inspection, the materials are made available for dispatching.
